Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly service.

You will stand at the front of the store, greet customers, and help deter theft with a positive, proactive presence. You will identify suspicious activity, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and assist with bag checks and training for associates on shortage reduction programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality; strong ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and exits to reduce theft opportunities and maintain security.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting at the store front.
• Identify suspicious activity and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Perform bag and package checks as directed, adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Support store leadership in maintaining a safe, secure working environment.
