Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience. You will collaborate with clinic staff to verify demographics, insurance eligibility, and authorizations, while supporting revenue cycle performance.

This full-time role reports to the Clinic Manager and requires excellent customer service, EMR proficiency, and knowledge of HIPAA; comfort with MS Office tools and patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and basic EMR usage.
• Healthcare billing or payments experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake/registration including demographics verification and insurance requirements.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and insurance verification turnaround.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Use EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes and support improvements.
• Communicate patient progress notes and care plans to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities with the clinical team.
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training to maintain proficiency.
• Provide Rehab Aide cross training on front office duties.
