Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to ensure accurate patient intake, financial clearance, and a seamless front-office experience while supporting revenue cycle performance. You will collaborate with clinical teams and report to the Clinic Manager, with support from the PES.

The role includes managing registrations, insurance verification, collecting payments, and using EMR dashboards to improve data integrity and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience requesting and managing customer payments preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• 1-2 years of healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities, payment options and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet established collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy, insurance verification turnaround and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing and Clinical Operations to resolve issues and elevate as needed.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards and reporting tools to track patient outcomes and drive improvements.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes and plans of care to referral sources.
