Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts offers a 10-12 week internship program for college students to gain hands-on experience in the Front Office of a HEI-managed property. The intern shadow leaders, attend meetings, and work alongside front office teams to understand daily operations and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office and use a computer system.
• Good verbal and written communication, adaptable to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Shadow leaders within the Front Office to learn daily operations.
• Shadow each shift and position within Front Office.
• Attend department and leadership meetings regularly.
• Learn to operate the PMS and other Front Office systems.
• Use labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Follow Room SOPs and policies and maintain attendance requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
