Job summary

The House By Hilly Gant is seeking a hands-on Front of House leader to oversee daily operations and guest experience. You will manage a FOH team, ensure budgeted outcomes, and partner with the Head Chef and Directors to drive service excellence.

Responsibilities include staffing, bookings, events, wine list management, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health standards. A proactive coach will build a resilient, guest-centric team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house teams.
• Accountability for guest experience and financial results of FOH.
• Ability to collaborate with Head Chef and Directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house daily operations to ensure guest experience.
• Drive guest experience, team performance, and P&L for FOH.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Directors.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate FOH team; briefings and coaching.
• Manage bookings, covers, and private dining; grow repeat business.
• Develop drinks offers with wine supplier; updates and margins.
• Handle guest feedback and online reviews promptly.
• Ensure licensing, food safety, allergen procedures, health and safety, staff records.
• Run rotas, holidays, payroll inputs, and manage reservation and till systems.
• Work with Events Co-ordinator on menu launches, weddings, private events, catering and seasonal promotions.
