Job summary

Makers & Finders is seeking a Front of House Manager to lead customer-focused service and oversee daily restaurant operations. You will supervise floor activities, assist with opening and closing duties, and collaborate with upper management to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction.

The role requires proactive leadership on busy floors, maintaining high standards for service, food and beverage quality, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening duties to make sure the floor is ready for opening.
• Assist on the floor wherever needed, including taking orders, cashing out checks, seating customers, food running, cleaning, and addressing customer or employee issues.
• Maintain constant communication with upper management/ownership.
• Fill out Daily Reports as directed.
• Maintain proactive not reactive approach to guest service.
• Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization and keep tasks on track.
• Take photos of food and drinks for social media and gallery updates.
• Ensure food & beverage quality is consistent in appearance and taste.
• Close out drawers, determine drops, and manage employee tips.
• Ensure all closing duties are performed and venue is clean for the next day.
• Engage with guests and staff professionally and build relationships.
• Lead by example with a strong presence on and off the floor.
• Keep floor design, lighting, music, table symmetry, and resets up to standard.
• Conduct weekly inventory for coffee bar, paper goods, glassware, plate ware, and merchandise.
• Track invoices via Plate IQ and apply the Joi t-Checkout process across departments.
• Resolve customer issues proactively and document when needed.
• Ensure all team members follow procedures and uphold Makers & Finders standards.
