Job summary

One Off Hospitality Group, renowned for Chicago’s beloved dining concepts, seeks a Front of House Supervisor to lead FOH operations and ensure flawless guest experiences. The role supports the General Manager to manage staff, guest inquiries, and service standards across the dining room.

The ideal candidate maintains a professional image, collaborates with team members, and upholds safety and sanitation policies while delivering memorable hospitality experiences to guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Ability to handle stress under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours.
• Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Toast, OpenTable, and/or 7 Shifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image.
• Assists General Manager with management of FOH staff (scheduling, staff conflict, hiring, termination, etc.).
• Responds to guest inquiries and provides assistance.
• Helps with duties of other employees when necessary due to absence or high volume.
• Oversees organization, efficiency and policies for office duties and dining room service.
• Keeps up to date knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings.
• Supervises staff in guest service, cleaning and repairs in restaurant and grounds.
• Performs daily inspections and audits to ensure equipment safety.
• Responds to guest and community interests to develop marketing and advertising.
• Enhances guest relationships and promotes team morale.
• Delivers excellent guest service including greeting and seating guests.
• Resolves complaints politely and follows up with guests when needed.
• Works with GM, CDC and staff to drive restaurant success.
• Understands company background, core values and philosophy.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies.
