Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service at our Sherman, TX store.

As an SCA, you will monitor entrances, deter theft, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty. This role emphasizes professional presentation, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and confident greeting to promote security.
• Provide knowledge of shortage programs and support stores in loss-prevention efforts.
• Train associates on shortage reduction processes and safety practices.
