Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate at our Sheridan, CO store to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

As an SCA, you will monitor entrances and high‑risk areas, greet customers with a confident, friendly demeanor, identify theft risks, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and partner with store leadership to reduce opportunities for loss while upholding our core values.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring the store environment
• Excellent communication and people skills to greet customers warmly

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to reduce theft and disrupt dishonest activity
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious behavior to the Manager on Duty
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs
