Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service. The role emphasizes command presence at store entrances, knowledge of theft trends, and proactive engagement with customers and associates.

The SCA will monitor front areas throughout shifts, implement shortage reduction programs, and report suspicious activity to leadership. Experience in retail or loss prevention is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and analyze business trends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress standards.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and promote a sense of control and security.
• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft and dishonesty.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
