Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to uphold security and deliver excellent customer service in our McKinney store. You will greet customers warmly, maintain vigilance at store entrances, and support shortage reduction programs across the team.

Role emphasizes discipline, awareness, and timely reporting of incidents to the Manager on Duty, while upholding Burlington's values and standards during all shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and monitor the store.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Strong verbal communication and positive, energetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to management.
• Assist in shortage reduction programs and train associates as needed.
• Support store leadership and maintain professional appearance and dress standards.
