Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Part-time Shortage Control Associate to support a secure shopping environment and deliver exceptional customer service. You will stand at store entrances, greet customers with eye contact and a friendly smile, and monitor for theft while applying shortage-control programs.

The role requires energy, clear communication, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty and contribute to a safe, welcoming store.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, retail, asset protection, or loss prevention.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic hello and assist as needed.
• Monitor entrances/exits to reduce theft opportunities and maintain a secure environment.
• Identify suspicious activity and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
