Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help protect assets and deliver excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and participate in shortage-reduction programs while maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment. Role requires ability to stand for long periods, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and strong communication with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Conduct bag and package checks following safety and security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Support store leadership in maintaining a secure shopping environment.
