Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead daily front-end operations and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will process transactions accurately, train cashiers, and ensure a clean, organized store while upholding company standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing POS procedures, assisting with merchandising, and maintaining safety and compliance. Evening/weekend availability is required in this fast-paced retail role.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash/electronic transactions.
• Train and coach associates while promoting a positive team environment.
• Lift/move/position merchandise safely and assist with front-end operations.
• Communicate clearly and follow company policies and procedures.
• Read and understand English and stay attentive during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting customers and engaging throughout their shopping experience.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions accurately.
• Train and coach cashiers on POS procedures and cash handling.
• Monitor front-end operations and assist leadership with cashier questions.
• Keep the store front-end clean, organized, stocked, and safe.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed and signed per company standards.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, and other store tasks.
• Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
