Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead the front-end team and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will train cashiers, process transactions accurately, and maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized store.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift.
• Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the front end.
• Train and support cashiers on POS procedures and cash handling.
• Monitor front-end operations and assist leadership with daily tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor with proper signage.
• Ensure safety and security standards are followed and report concerns promptly.
• Support merchandising updates, price changes, and store tasks as assigned.
• Remain professional in appearance and adhere to company policies.
