Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will process POS transactions, train cashiers, and support store leadership to maintain an organized, well-stocked sales floor.

Responsibilities include coaching cashiers, answering questions, and ensuring adherence to company policies while promoting a positive, team-oriented environment. This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer and guiding their shopping experience.
• Accurately process transactions, returns, exchanges, and other POS activities.
• Train, coach, and support cashiers on POS procedures and company policies.
• Assist leadership by monitoring front-end operations and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor per company standards.
• Ensure proper merchandising, signage, and inventory visibility.
