Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will train cashiers, handle POS transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized store while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to manage cash, assist with merchandising, and remain attentive to store safety and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates on POS procedures, cash handling, and company policies.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer and guiding them through their shopping experience.
• Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions.
• Train, coach, and support new and existing cashiers on POS procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and assist with merchandising updates.
• Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations and resolving customer concerns.
