Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will model professionalism while guiding cashiers and courtesy clerks through daily operations at the checkout area.

The role requires 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training, a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays, and a strong ability to handle cash, numbers, and customer interactions with poise.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication, math, and cash-handling skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and move carts as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state law.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and enforce disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain security and cleanliness at entrances and exits and ensure loss prevention.
