Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a team of cashiers and ensure outstanding customer service in a fast-paced store environment. The role involves supervising daily cash-handling operations, assisting with staffing, and maintaining store cleanliness and security.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED, plus 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
• Operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and push carts as described; good math and cash-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by proactively supporting cashiers and clerks at registers.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies, and maintain restroom and parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers; participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
