Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers, provide leadership on the front end, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will assist at the register, resolve customer issues, and coordinate scheduling and breaks per policy while helping hire and train new cashiers and supporting loss prevention efforts. This role emphasizes reliability, communication, and a customer-first mindset in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; act as a role model in customer service.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment (registers, scanners) and handle cash.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by supervising cashiers and assisting at the register.
• Assist customers with issues at the register and ensure smooth transactions.
• Schedule and supervise breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain store security and loss prevention accountability.
