Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations and deliver Best of the WEST service in a fast-paced Texas retail environment. You will train cashiers, ensure accurate transactions, and help maintain an organized, well-stocked store while upholding company policies.

You will support store leadership, resolve customer concerns, and promote store programs. A professional appearance and reliable schedule, including evenings and weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Operate POS system and handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
• Train and coach cashiers, promoting teamwork and standards.
• Able to lift and move merchandise and operate store equipment safely.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service by greeting customers and thanking them for business.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other Point of Sale transactions accurately.
• Ensure merchandise accuracy and follow commission validation procedures.

• Train and coach new and existing cashiers on POS procedures and policies.
