Job summary

Cavender’s Head Cashier role is a frontline leadership position at Cavender’s, driving Best of the WEST customer service while supervising front-end operations and ensuring agreement with company standards.

You will train cashiers on POS procedures, handle cash and electronic transactions, and maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to resolve customer concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Associate must be able to read and understand English.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer, engaging with them throughout their shopping experience, and thanking them for their business.
• Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other Point of Sale transactions.
• Train, coach, and support new and existing cashiers on Point of Sale procedures, cash handling, customer service expectations, and company policies.
• Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations, answering cashier questions, and helping resolve customer concerns.
• Remain attentive to store safety and security and promptly report concerns to store management.
