Job summary

Meijer in Commerce, MI is seeking a Customer Service/Front End Dept Manager to lead the store's front-end operations and team engagement. You will drive onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, budgeting, and service standards, while ensuring safety and store profitability.

Strong communication and leadership are essential to build a diverse talent pipeline and foster an inclusive environment. This role reports to Store Leadership and requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience
• Progressive leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members clearly
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions
• Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training, coaching and feedback is effective
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership development
• Leads discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities
• Oversees area operations and financial results, including budgeting and forecasting
• Drives safety and store compliance, and manages store condition
• Directs team leaders and assigns daily work and training as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
