Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Customer Service/Front End Department Manager for our Commerce, MI location. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service, oversee daily operations, and manage staffing plans to meet budget and productivity goals.

The role emphasizes coaching, talent development, safety, and adherence to Meijer standards, with a focus on creating an inclusive, high-performance store environment that serves customers and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching and feedback to be successful.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support staffing and diversified leadership pipelines.
• Accountability for area operations and financial results by overseeing execution of plans to maximize sales and productivity and owning budget line items in the P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance throughout the store and ensures adherence to all procedures.
• Ensures Team Leaders provide guidance and assign daily work and training as needed.
