Job summary

Meijer in Commerce, MI is seeking a Customer Service/Front End Dept Manager to lead and develop team members, ensure onboarding and coaching, and drive guest satisfaction. You will partner with Leads and Team Leaders to meet store goals.

This role requires solid retail leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgeting, scheduling, safety, and process improvements while upholding Meijer's culture and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates proactive thinking and commitment to safe operations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching are effective.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership development strategies.
• Participates in candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and opportunities for growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, ensuring services and products are managed to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drives safety, compliance, and overall store condition management, following all procedures.
• Guides team leads on daily work assignments and training needs.
