Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Retail Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service, greet and assist customers, and process transactions efficiently at the checkout. You will work with the POS system, handle cash and other payment methods, ensure accuracy, and follow all relevant policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage limits and help prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create welcoming environment and answer product questions across departments.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in fast-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
