Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Sound judgement/decision making skills.
• Friendly, approachable/outgoing demeanor and team player.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and efficient customer service and resolve concerns.
• Greet customers and assist them to products, loading heavy items.
• Anticipate needs and resolve issues to strengthen loyalty.
• Oversee front end operations to meet sales, profit and labor goals.
• Determine work priorities to maintain front end conditions.
• Ensure prompt checkout and adherence to policies and laws.
• Train and coach associates on front end procedures to reduce shrink.
• Communicate pricing discrepancies to the pricing coordinator.
• Provide back-up coverage for the service operations manager when needed.
• Know checkout policies, perform voids, refunds, reports and audits.
• Operate scanner, register, scale and related front end equipment.
