Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an outgoing cashier to join our Eaton, OH store team. The role centers on delivering excellent customer service at the check lane, processing transactions accurately, and supporting store operations.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, handle various tender types, and follow safety, policy, and loss-prevention guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Basic math skills for transactions and change.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Comply with laws and company guidelines; work well under pressure.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
