Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in front office or similar role preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)
• Ability to learn and follow HIPAA requirements and respect patient privacy
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Registering, scheduling and re-scheduling patients for initial appointments and follow-ups
• Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR)
• Answering patient questions about billing and payments and collect payments
• Screening incoming calls to provide routing to other departments
• Verifying insurance eligibility
• Accepting lab drop offs from patients
• Other duties as assigned
