Athletico is hiring a Patient Experience Coordinator at our Hickory, NC location to manage front-office duties and patient financial clearance. You will greet patients, verify insurance, educate on costs, collect payments, and guide scheduling to support revenue cycle performance.

You’ll collaborate with PES, Billing, and clinical teams, using EMR systems and dashboards to ensure accuracy and high patient satisfaction. This full-time role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills and clear communication.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience requesting and managing customer payments preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1-2 years of healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues.
• Complete patient intake and registration with demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows and optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations teams on issues.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes and quality.
• Coordinate communication of progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities.
• Participate in training and cross-training to maintain flexibility.
