Job summary

Confluent Health is seeking a Care Coordinator to be the first voice patients hear and the first face they see, delivering a welcoming, organized, and professional experience from the first call through every visit.

You will manage front desk duties, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications in a fast-paced setting, with comprehensive on-the-job training and clear pathways to clinic leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with the public in person or over the phone.
• Comfort communicating on the phone in a professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients and visitors.
• Handle front desk operations including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on referrals, update patient records, and explain next steps.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, cancellations, and scheduling future visits.
• Collect copays and payments accurately, with basic tracking or reconciliation as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all interactions and documentation.
