SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our growing team. You will manage front desk operations, schedule and reschedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, and ensure accurate data entry for our outpatient centers.

This role supports the team to meet office goals and deliver friendly service to patients and visitors. Experience in a medical office or hospitality, with bilingual Spanish preferred, is encouraged, with growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Physical Therapy environment, medical office, or hospitality with strong customer service
• Strong front desk and administrative skills in a fast-paced medical setting
• Attention to confidentiality and patient data protection

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by phone
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize efficiency
• Complete insurance verifications and obtain benefits authorization
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry
• Notify providers of arrivals and delays to keep schedules on track
• Manage patient accounts and billing information
• Record and collect patient charges and third-party payments
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality
• Follow office policies and contribute to team goals
• Support continuous improvement and ad hoc duties as needed
