Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Patient Coordinator for our front desk operations. You will welcome patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, and maintain patient records with accuracy and discretion.

The role focuses on improving patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization while supporting the team to meet office goals. Experience in a physical therapy environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced front desk environment is preferred.
• Ability to verify benefits and communicate with insurance providers.
• Strong organizational and data-entry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors by phone or in person and answer inquiries.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments and manage the daily front desk flow.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations when needed.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry.
• Keep appointments on schedule and notify providers of delays.
• Manage patient accounts and collect charges as appropriate.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow policies.
