Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members and guests, check in members, and handle inquiries about gym operations. You will manage front desk duties, process sales, assist with class sign-ins, and help direct members to trainers while maintaining a clean, welcoming reception area.

Requirements include excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fitness environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Organized, structured, and friendly with a passion for fitness.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of basic cash processing procedures.
• Ability to proficiently use POS and CRM systems or any other computer programs required to meet business needs.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to bend, squat, and lift upwards of 50lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
• Comply with all Gold's Gym policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly to create a welcoming entrance and departure.
• Control front door and retail area access for security.
• Check members in using proper procedures.
• Assist with member requests and inquiries about gym operations and policies.
• Direct guests to personal trainers and staff as needed.
• Answer calls professionally and forward inquiries to management.
• Maintain front desk area and wear proper uniform with nametag.
• Process retail and concession sales; keep cooler and inventory stocked.
• Attend staff meetings and log maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with membership sales, sign-ups, and scheduling complimentary personal training sessions.
• Handle member account changes (payments, freezes, cancellations).
• Assist with receiving orders and checking in retail/concession products.
• Help members register and check in for classes via app.
• Other duties as assigned.
