Job summary

Gold's Gym in Austin is seeking a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members and guests, direct them inside, and handle inquiries about gym operations and policies. You will check members in, assist with retail sales, and support daily front desk operations to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Greet members and guests promptly and create a friendly entrance.
• Provide clear information about gym policies and programs.
• Assist with front desk tasks and member inquiries.
• Handle basic retail transactions and member account updates.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly to create a positive entrance and departure.
• Provide security and control at the front door and retail area.
• Check members in using proper procedures.
• Monitor check-ins and notify management of delinquent accounts.
• Register guests into the gym using proper procedures.
• Direct guests to the appropriate personal trainer when needed.
• Answer calls professionally and relay messages to management.
• Respond to member requests, inquiries, and concerns.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag.
• Distribute keys, towels and other materials.
• Process retail and concession sales.
• Assist with stocking and inventory of supplies.
• Attend staff meetings as directed.
• Log maintenance concerns and report safety issues.
• Assist with membership sales and signups.
• Assign new members barcodes, photos, and scheduling training sessions.
• Handle member account changes (payments, freezes, cancellations).
• Assist with receiving orders and checking in retail/concession products.
• Assist members with registering and checking in for classes via app.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
