Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port is seeking a friendly front desk agent to welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out processes. You will respond to inquiries, promote hotel amenities, and maintain knowledge of services and rates to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, cash handling, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly.
• Demonstrate good computer skills.
• Accurately handle cash and post charges.
• Hotel experience preferred but not mandatory, some customer service background required.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Must be willing and capable of passing Alcohol Compliance Certification within three months.
• Requires the ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on every interaction and register guests and assign rooms.
• Conduct check-out processes and respond to guest inquiries with a positive attitude.
• Promote hotel amenities and services using knowledge and selling techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, rates, packages and promotions.
• Provide communication with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Attend team meetings and follow all policies and safety procedures.
