Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive and courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout, while maximizing room revenue. You will greet guests, answer inquiries, manage the Front Desk system, and support daily operations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires excellent communication, flexibility with hours, and a professional, friendly demeanor. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk.
• Maintain operation of PBX console and uphold hotel standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about services and hours.
• Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a courteous manner.
• Know rates, packages and promotions as listed in the Red Book.
• Be familiar with in-house groups and dates.
• Operate Front Desk computer system.
• Balance and complete shift paperwork according to standards.
