Job summary

Excel Hotel Group in California is seeking a Front Desk Agent to check guests in and out quickly and courteously using our property management system, process payments, and provide information and service to guests and visitors.

The successful candidate will Welcome guests, register and issue keys, upsell rooms to boost revenue, handle cash and card transactions, and respond to requests and complaints with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer service experience.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Basic computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management system.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Registers guests, issues room keys, provides information on hotel services and room location, and answers phones promptly.
• Upsells rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately processes cash and credit card transactions per procedures, including posting charges, cashier reports, deposits, and securing cash.
• Issues, controls and releases guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Communicates outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
• Responds to guest complaints with appropriate service recovery gestures.
