Job summary

Excel Hotel Group in Escondido, CA is seeking a Front Desk Agent to check guests in and out quickly and courteously using our property management system. You will process payments according to hotel policies and provide information and service to guests and visitors of the hotel.

The role involves welcoming guests, issuing keys, upselling rooms, handling cash/credit transactions, and managing guest requests with a focus on total guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Basic knowledge of computers and software (email, word processing, spreadsheets) and hotel management system.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Registers guests, issues room keys, provides information on hotel services and location, and answers phones.
• Upsells rooms whenever possible to maximize revenue.
• Processes cash and credit card transactions following procedures and prepares reports.
• Issues, controls and releases guest safes.
• Communicates guest requests to management for follow-up.
• Responds to guest complaints with service recovery to ensure satisfaction.
