Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Birmingham is seeking a Front Desk Agent to deliver warm, efficient guest service at the front desk. You will greet guests, manage check-in/check-out, input reservations, and upsell services to enhance revenue. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Six months related experience in hotels or customer service preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly welcome and maintain professional demeanor.
• Handle check-in/check-out, input reservations, verify payments and IDs.
• Upsell services to maximize occupancy and revenue while following brand standards.
• Answer phones promptly with a professional tone and assist guests across departments.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready and meet check-in times.
• Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
