Job summary

Planet Fitness in Derby, CT, is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk staff and assist the General Manager with day-to-day club operations. The role focuses on delivering superior member experiences, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to brand standards.

The ideal candidate will have 6 months of supervisory experience in a high-volume setting, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months supervisor/manager experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Open or flexible availability; weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk personnel and assist the General Manager in front-of-house operations.
• Maintain club standards, cleanliness, and guest service excellence.
• Monitor and report club metrics; support training and performance reviews.
• Coordinate shift coverage and disciplinary actions with leadership and HR.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing front desk staff and fitness instructors.
