Job summary

Planet Fitness in Milford, CT is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk personnel, support the General Manager, and focus on front-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily activities.

The role requires multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service, and effective communication with management, along with mentoring front-end staff and maintaining club standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 6 month Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk personnel and assist the General Manager with daily operations.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to identify opportunities and adjust execution.
• Uphold company standards and lead by example for delivering the organization’s mission, vision and values; maintain a clean, friendly club.
• Mentor Front End employees to promote career growth through training and performance assessment.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions and shift coverage in case of call-outs or vacancies.
• Conduct club audits to ensure areas are clean, neat, and in like-new condition.
• Assist in interviewing and recruitment by screening front desk staff and fitness instructors.
