Job summary

Planet Fitness in Derby, CT is seeking an Assistant Manager to supervise front desk operations, assist the General Manager, and ensure a welcoming, well-kept club for members and guests.

You will lead front desk staff, participate in recruitment, monitor sales metrics, uphold standards, and coordinate shifts, audits, and safety. A high school diploma is required with strong Microsoft Office skills and customer service experience.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma Or Equivalent required
• Associates degree preferred
• Bi-lingual preferred
• 6 month Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations and assist the General Manager
• Interview and recruit front desk staff and fitness instructors
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to drive performance
• Maintain club standards for cleanliness, dress code, and customer service
• Coordinate shift coverage and disciplinary actions with GM/HR
