Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Experience with EMR software; EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify eligibility and provide payment policies and billing/collection information.
• Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect patients' financial responsibility.
• Collaborative Support: Assist the practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Compliance: Align with HIPAA and OSHA standards and guidelines.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality programs and patient result tracking.
• Travel Requirement: Travel to other University Hospitals Urgent Care locations as needed.
