Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an Office/Customer Service Clerk to support daily operations in the Sioux Falls service center. You will handle customer inquiries, documentation, and data entry to ensure accurate freight movement.

Roles include organizing files, processing shipments, and coordinating with drivers and sales teams. The position requires strong communication skills, basic math, and proficiency with office equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Two years general office experience preferred.
• One year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical functions: filing, data entry, answering phones, copying, imaging, mail distribution.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide accurate information to customers, determine pickup/delivery needs, and upsell services as appropriate.
• Enter freight shipment information and generate/adjust freight bills.
• Administer freight pickup process and assist customers via phone, email, or fax.
• Schedule freight delivery appointments and coordinate driver interactions.
• Review Hours-of-Service logs and report discrepancies as needed.
• Support city operations by checking in drivers and coordinating documentation.
• Communicate with sales/ops/service centers to resolve customer issues.
• Reconcile cash/cheques, prepare deposits and COD remittances when required.
