Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a customer service-oriented professional to handle freight documentation, schedule pickups, and assist customers with inquiries in a fast-paced service center environment.

The role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and ability to work with various teams to ensure customer needs are met. Office/dock setting; hours may vary, with a starting pay of $20.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred.
• 2 years general office experience preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn multiple computer systems/programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer needs and documentation for freight movement.
• Perform clerical tasks: filing, copying, imaging, answering phones, data entry.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide accurate information and assist customers with pick-up/delivery needs.
• Enter freight shipment data, status updates, and billing information.
• Administer freight pick-up process as needed.
• Assist customers via phone, email, or fax with inquiries.
• Schedule freight deliveries and appointments.
• Review Hours-of-Service logs and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with sales/operations to resolve issues.
• Reconcile cash/receipts and prepare deposits.
