Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Service Center Clerk to support customer needs, process freight documentation, and perform administrative duties in a fast-paced office/dock environment. The role involves handling phone and email inquiries, scheduling pickups/deliveries, entering shipment data, reconciling payments, and collaborating with sales, operations and other centers to ensure accurate and timely service.

The shift is evenings, with a starting rate of pay around $20.20 per hour and a range up

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general office experience preferred.
• One year customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical functions, including filing, copying, imaging, answering phones, data entry, sorting/distributing mail and/or packages.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide accurate information and assistance to customers, including determining pick-up/delivery needs and selling services.
• Enter freight shipment information into the system, status shipments, and generate/correct freight bills.
• Administer freight pick-up process and assist customers via phone, e-mail, or fax.
• Make freight delivery appointments and review drivers’ Hours-of-Service logs.
