Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize freight movements at a North Carolina location. You will supervise hourly staff, establish procedures, and ensure safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance across shifts.

The role emphasizes coaching, process improvement and cost control while coordinating with teams to meet production goals and service levels. Join a large, global logistics provider committed to safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns and questions.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and administrative functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and regulations.
• Provide training and coaching for safety and quality compliance.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation and address issues.
