XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in the United States to lead and optimize freight operations. Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and be the primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR/OSHA/DOT policies and laws.
• Coach employees on safety rules and process improvements.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
• Participate in hiring decisions and performance actions.
• Develop action plans to improve load average and model compliance.
