Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize dock-to-destination freight workflows within our U.S. network. You will supervise hourly staff, develop procedures, ensure DOT compliance, and drive safety, quality and productivity across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules.
• Willing to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
• Participate in safety and engagement committees.
• Train employees on safety rules and processes.
